It’s part of my new morning ritual.

As soon as I wake up, I drink a large glass of water with 1/2 teaspoon of this white powder in it.

LOL – no, it’s not cocaine… do you think I’m some kind of rockstar?

I’m talking about this pure, unrefined sea salt (I get mine on Amazon or sometimes Holland & Barrett)

Why would I had so much salt to my morning water and make it taste terrible?

One word… ADRENALS.

Your adrenal glands are two little organs on top of your kidneys that manage your stress hormone cortisol, but also an hormone called “aldosterone”.

This hormone is responsible for the sodium balance inside your body.

When you consume too much sodium, it flushes it out.

When you don’t consume enough, it adjusts your body’s functions accordingly.

But if you’re under a ton of stress — like I am these days with the upcoming launch of the new MDHQ — your adrenal glands stop producing aldosterone.

Before you know it, your body needs extra sodium and is never able to get it!

And that’s part of the reason you may feel exhausted in the morning, even though you sleep just fine.

So my advice is…

If you’re under a lot of stress with everything that’s going on in your life, try my new morning ritual.

But NEVER use refined salt. It wouldn’t have the same effect has pure unrefined salt, and would expose your body and adrenal glands to toxic additives.
