Meet Ronnie.

Losing almost 3½ stone set Ronnie free.

Free to enjoy the fit and happy family life he’d always dreamed of with his wife and 3 children.

However, Ronnie’s lifestyle wasn’t always so healthy.

Working as a bus driver meant Ronnie sat behind a steering wheel for long shifts, grabbing whatever food was quick and easy during his breaks.

“I ate junk.”

“Working long hours. I did no exercise and was just getting fatter and fatter. I did not think it was affecting me at the time because it was handy, and I was just grabbing a quick bite to eat as I was so busy.”

Squeezing in behind the steering wheel of his bus, Ronnie was in denial about how unhealthy his lifestyle had become.

“I knew Dee initially as she trained my wife, Angela, at home. When Million Dollar opened a men’s programme, Angela encouraged me to join.

Ronnie began his fitness journey on my Group Training for Men Programme.

“When I started, I couldn’t do 10 Jumping Jacks without getting out of breath.  My main goal was to increase my fitness and it wasn’t until I looked back that I realised how much weight I had put on. Now I can do Melt with a 10kg weighted vest!

It was challenging to begin with. I worked long hours and had a busy home life with 3 boys and my wife, however I soon got into a routine. I exercised regularly for approximately 18 months until an accident stopped me training for a while.”

“Dee gave our eating habits a complete makeover and introduced us to new foods such as sweet potatoes, unheard of in our home previously. I was a very plain eater and had never even tried chicken. I now eat vegetables, sweet potato, Greek yoghurt and protein shakes.”

“My diet has changed from unhealthy food to protein shake for breakfast, snack of scrambled or poached eggs, lunch is usually protein shake and then for dinner I will have sweet potato, steak or chicken and some vegetables.  I have cut out fizzy drinks totally and swapped them for water.  My last meal would be usually before 5pm. Pre-training I may have a snack. I do have a sweet tooth and enjoy a biscuit or some chocolate, but in moderation!”

“Organising my day is one of my biggest challenges. It can be hard to get out of the house in the evenings however my routines work well with the Million Dollar timetable as homework, dinner and bedtimes for the youngest boys are all done before I leave for a workout session. I enjoy maintaining my fitness levels and do not want them to slip. I have great support from my family – my son, Oran sometimes joins me for training at Million Dollar.”

“My best achievement is losing almost 3½ stone. I have dropped from a 34/36-inch waist to a 28-inch waist.  I also did Hard as Oak with Million Dollar and faced my fears of water on some of the obstacles.”

“What’s in the future? I am thinking about completing Tough Mudder in 2017 with #teammilliondollar.

Dee is so good, she keeps in touch with me, keeps on top of me and tells me what I need to do to reach my goals.  Dee was even texting me when she was away in Spain on a retreat, keeping me motivated!”

“I would say to anyone thinking of joining Million Dollar Fitness, YES GO for it, you have nothing to lose except pounds and inches… and you’ll gain many new friends.

It’s too easy to sit in the house, and when it’s cold and wet, but why put it off any longer?

Make the choice, you won’t regret it.”
