Spicy Chinese Soup 

Serves : 1


  • 175g cooked Chicken Breast, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Walnut Oil
  • 600ml Chicken Stock
  • 1 tsp fresh Root Ginger, chopped
  • ½ Onion, thinly sliced
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • pinch of Turmeric
  • 2 Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tsp Chinese 5 Spice


Heat oil in a medium sized saucepan and add the onion, garlic, ginger and fry until onion is soft. Add pepper, turmeric, Chinese 5 spice and chicken, stir and cook for 30 seconds. Add the stock, bring to the boil and reduce to a simmer.

Cook for 5 mins. Serve immediately.
